Errors & rate limits
Status codes and how fast you can call.
Errors
Errors use the same envelope as successes, with status: false and a readable message:
{ "status": false, "message": "No post found with a matching slug or id: nope", "data": null }| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
400 | A parameter is malformed — the message says which. |
401 | Missing, invalid or revoked key — or a secret key sent in the URL. |
403 | Blog module off, origin not allowed for the publishable key, or the action is closed (comments, reactions). |
404 | No published post, category, tag or author with that slug or id. |
409 | The same comment was already posted in the last hour. |
429 | Too many requests — wait for Retry-After seconds. |
Rate limits
Limits apply per IP address.
| Calls | Limit |
|---|---|
| Reads | 50 / second, 400 / 10 seconds, 2,000 / minute |
| Reactions and views | 10 / second, 40 / 10 seconds, 120 / minute |
| Comments | 1 / second, 3 / 10 seconds, 10 / minute |
For static builds that fetch every post, cache responses or fetch in batches with limit=100.
